I agree on the rope length, I think I need to make the default longer. If they get too long, framerates start to drop, so I've got a little code-cleaning to do there. I'll add the "Rope Break Force" to the config file in the next release so you can experiment with that.

yesterday i tried coz and...... i reeeeally liked it. In the Oculus Dev Board i said how much i would like to see a game for the oculus and the hydra like spiderman where you can swing around.
And you did it ^^. It´s really cool. I didn´t tried it with the oculus but i think it will be even better with the rift.

I changed the config for the playground a bit because i think the length of the robes is a bit to short in the default config. ( Had problems to swing in the "city") Another thing i changed is the braketorque value. The ropes always ripped when i was in the middle of the swinging action :D

Suggestions for the next versions:

-Attach the ropes to the hands, so you can pull with hydra to gain speed
-bigger city and increased scale of the buildings
-a light or something on the hands where you can see if the rope is attached to something


I hope you'll continue programming coz and improve it :) i really enjoyed it

I've attached an archive containing all of the skinnable images in AP1 (you'll need to register on the forum to download and upload attachments).

Extract this to any folder you'd like. The default is c:\CozSkins, but if you've got the images in a custom folder, simply go to your AP1 install directory and, in the COZ-AP1_Data folder edit CozConfig.cfg.

Look for the "TextureFolder" line and change the reference to your custom skins location (use the full path). Remember to leave the "=" before and "," after, or the game won't load properly. The game may appear to freeze at first, while it loads in your images. That's normal, all is well, but you may want to keep your images compressed/smallish to keep your performance up.

CozSkins.zip

These are very quick edits of the main game assets. Just edit these or create new images from scratch. JPG and PNG should work well. the file names have to start as they do in the examples, but you can add to them. For example, you can rename "AirShip.jpg" to "AirShip001.jpg" or "AirShipWaffles.jpg" and it will still work, just make sure it starts with the right name. If you have multiples of the same image, e.g. BasicWall001 and BasicWall002, the game will choose one randomly at startup.

Have at it! Share screenshots and videos of your work! Better yet, upload your own custom skin packs to the forum :-)
